Although covering a little over 1% of the planet's surface, the Indonesian archipelago is home to an amazing variety of flora and fauna. Within its land and sea territories are 17% of the world's bird species, 16% of the world's amphibians and reptiles, 12% of the world's mammals with many of these tens of thousands of species being indigenous.  Luckily, Bali contains a number of friendly habitats and parks in which you may observe and even interact with many of these marvels of nature from this incredibly bio-diverse region and beyond.
