Sangeh famous because it is a village where monkeys ( macaques ) roam freely and sacred by the locals in a forest. In the middle of the forest there is also a temple called Pura Bukit Sari. This temple was built by the Kingdom of Mengwi and is now handed over to local residents. Monkeys here have kings and are said to have three kingdoms.
Taman Ayun Temple is a Paibon / Pedarman King Mengwi Temple to worship the ancestral spirits of the kings which was realized by the construction of a Paibon gedong, and also built meru-meru for worship and worship to the Gods for the people of the kingdom of Mengwi in asking for prosperity. Includes Ulun Danu Batur Temple and Lake Batur, Pakerisan watershed, Catur Angga Batukaru area and Taman Ayun Temple site.
